PAMS mission preparatory packing; Friday in the 16th Week of Ordinary Time

All day and most of the night yesterday was devoted to medical society mission packing. A group of about four of us were assigned to "Medication Purgatorio." Then five of us were then assigned to packing the same medication, as there was a lot of it to be dispensed to patients. Our discussion whilst packing ranged from common ailments treated during missions to celebrity pathology to jokes in Tagalog. We must have a continuation of "MP," as not all was packed.

This morning the Mass was celebrated by Fr. Steven P, Anu served, Ryan provided music ministry via the portative organ at the side altar, Oscar and Judy provided television ministry, and I read. We sang "O God Beyond All Praising" and "Word of God Come Down on Earth." I spotted Dad praying after Mass and waved, and spotted Dan, a local musicologist with Fr. Blaine from Kansas, a Benedictine priest, waiting for the bus to downtown and the National Pastoral Musicians Conference.

Today will be filled with errands, picking up the first two Batman movies in the current series from the public library, and physical therapy and watching a movie and the opening of the Olympic Games in London.
