Gene Passed Away, Wake and Funeral

Soon after we returned from vacation, Gene passed away surrounded by his family.  The viewing was Friday night, and the funeral was yesterday.  Fr. Bober celebrated the Mass, and delivered a lovely homily about Gene and how he lived like Christ.  Greg and Bernie delivered eulogies fitting of his life.

We will all miss Gene.  He was my hip angel, guiding me and advising me before my hip surgeries.  I have shared his light with others undergoing hip surgery, too.  Now he is truly my hip angel up above.  He is with his brothers and sister and  parents, as Miranda said, and his body has caught up with his spirit, as Caroline said.  Aunt Patsy wrote that there is now rest for his broken body.
