Henry Hornbostel WQED film

Charles emailed me yesterday that there would be a showing today of the film he co-produced.  After work, I caught a bus to Rodef Shalom congregation.  Henry Hornbostel, the subject of the film, had designed the sanctuary of this synagogue.  Hornbostel and his life and works made for a nice mid-winter's night's screen presence.  There was a lively question-and-comment period after the film.

Spoke with Helen Faye and Ray afterwards, and Charles, too.  Grabbed some savory snacks and lemonade in the atrium.  I met Marilyn, who showed me the Sanctuary, and explained about the space.  I walked home with Ruth, her husband, and a friend.  What a warm way to spend a winter's evening.
