Second annual Cathedral Volunteer Dinner

Last night (Thursday) was the second annual Cathedral Volunteer Dinner.  As usual, the dinner was delicious.  It was catered by All Occasion Catering.  Dad and I sat at a table of choir members---Jana, Craig, Vicki, Monica, and Carl.  We enjoyed each others' company and conversation, as well as the dinner and comments by Fr. Kris and Fr. Mark Thomas.  Dad won the plant (a philodendron) at our table for volunteering the longest.

We prepared and ran baseline experiments with the enzyme peroxidase today in our meeting.  Kim, Christine, and I also worked as a group to write ideas for quiz questions.  Spoke with Elia after the lab meeting, as well, about evaluations.

I have taken the late afternoon and evening off from grading:  Too tired and too unproductive to get anything done.
