The HEAT...Phipps Conservatory

Today, it was hotter 'n all get out. Temps in the low 90's Fahrenheit. And humid, and fairly sunny all day. Almighty, it's been really hot all over the country.

My friend Barbara McV. and I braved the elements to have lunch on the patio and visit the Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, one of my favorite places in Pittsburgh. I go to Phipps quarterly. The butterfly garden was in place in the Stove Room, as was the Mythical Beasts exhibit. On the way home, we enjoyed cool drinks at a cafe, then ran into Mary Jo K. at Watermelon Blues, a gift shop. We dropped off pictures from Barbara's party for her, I enjoyed my afternoon at home alone, then I ran a couple of errands for the upcoming Ministry Fair.
