Pasko--FAAP Christmas Party 2006

Last night, Mom, Dad, and I went to Pasko, the FAAP Christmas Party 2006. We came bearing wreaths from the choir wreath sale. Mom and I helped fold Christmas cards for sale. The children engaged in Mano Po . I was honored to be invited to sing the US national anthem once all had gathered, and we all sang the Philippine national anthem. Charise's father, Rev. Shively blessed the food.

The buffet dinner included:

agua fresca (cantaloupe)
arroz caldo
vegetable and shanghai lumpia
chicken adobo
three types of pancit: malabon, bihon
lechon at sarsa
steamed rice
fresh tropical fruit, including mango (at bagoong) and pina
suman at cassava bibinka
candies

After the Filipino pinata (during which Maria's daughter grabbed some candies for us), Santa showed up, and thereafter the music started us dancing line dance favorites such as the Electric Slide, the Macarena, YMCA, and the Locomotion. Everyone is keyed up for the Nationality Room open house tomorrow.

You should be writing content for FAAP's website. Did you ever consider that? If interested, pls email us at webadmin@theFAAP.org

Thanks.
