The Help
Went to watch The Help at the cinema tonight, replete with popcorn. A moving movie, with great character development. I saw Michelle L and her husband, P., after the movie, and she said the book was good, as well (they had gone to see Moneyball with Brad Pitt). The Help was a Disney pic, with Octavia Spencer giving me a run for the money as a ringer for a Hattie McDaniel type. I had been recommending the movie to Mom and Dad, who saw it and then said they thought I should see it.
Construction on Fifth Avenue in Oakland slowed traffic there, as well.
