Beatrice's Science Fair

Today after work I went with Mom and Dad and William's family to dine at the pan-Asian restaurant.  Afterwards, we went to Beatrice's Science Fair.  Beatrice's  project garnered an Honorable Mention in her two-grade-sized group.  Her project addressed the topic of stereotypes.  We all enjoyed looking at the various posters, meeting some of the burgeoning scientists, and meeting Beatrice's principal and last-year teacher.

Two of the projects in the top three at two different grade levels were variations of a theme of after-school science center simple projects, but were solid examples of the scientific method, replete with graphs of the work.  Other projects had highly creative topics, and were obvious that the student came up with the topic after much thought.

We all enjoyed the evening, and a good time was had by all.
