The issue
I asked Fr NL (who is visiting) at a dinner party tonight about how to address the problems of the Church. I mentioned that I have told non-churchgoers that there are good people---I am part of the living church and I am not part of the problem.
Fr NL mentioned that the church is made up of both sinners and saints, we do not exclude sinners.
Which begs the question (to me), of how we protect the innocent and (as my friend DW has said), to help those who are hurt to heal.Those to me seem important issues.
