TUE 01 OCT 2019- Picked up D and M at the airport. Attended the RADical Days Community Concert with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra at their home in Heinz Hall.

The program was directed by Andres Franco
Composers and pieces played included:

we had a grand time and enjoyed the music tremendously.

WED 02 OCT 2019-Saw MB in front of church today! She was being wheeled around by J, MAS's husband. She said,"Pray for me," she said to me.
Then it was time for Bible Study, facilitated by Fr Michael. The 3 brothers attended, as well (and 11).
We read and discussed the readings for the 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time, Cycle C; Lectionary: 141. Br Mark and Fr Mike spoke at length about offensive line coaches and their advice. Here are my thoughts on the matter.....

How is spiritual guidance like offensive line coaching ?
I was thinking about what you two said re: offensive line coaches. Offensive line coaches have a goal to meet---move that ball! Maybe, Brother Mark, your OLC found that his modus operandi got better results than if he were nice to you and your teammates.
 
Just as when one needs spiritual guidance: your friends (e.g.--a priest/s, religious brother or sister, and/or your secular friends) will point to different biblical passages, sacraments, or religious practices to help you. Appropriate ones of these are pointed out, in order to help you in your goal, furthering your faith formation.
 
Just some of my musings on the discussion today in Bible study.

Tnshia stopped by, and I worked on the Oktoberfest event for PAPAGP.

THU 03 OCT 2019- Really Rained late last night. Showed up 1/2 an hour early for my physical therapy evaluative appointment with Candace and MA. Also took D and M to M's appointment in Oakland. Went to East Liberty and Friendship/ Shadyside for administrative errands and for groceries, respectively. BAM's favorite burgers for dinner tonight, with crispy potato chips.
Soon, choir practice.
The weather was close to 90 degrees Fahrenheit today. It is expected to be cooler tomorrow. 

FRI 04 OCT 2019- Went to Water exercise class and to arthritis exercise class, both taught by C'y. Saw 2 neighbors there, a couple. Rested after dinner. Weather was to be 60+ Fahrenheit today.

SAT 05 OCT 2019- Color time! Brought some items chez D and M. Ran an errand at the bank. Went with ChM to dine for lunch for steaks and sides. Also got some computer and other items completed for M.
Attended the anticipated Mass at the earliest afternoon one. Fr. Josh celebrated the Mass.

SUN 06 OCT 2019- D drove M and me to Baltimore for M's med school class reunion. Stayed at Hyatt Regency in the Inner Harbor. Met up and chatted with Tita Betty, and with Aimee. A group of us went to Cheescake Factory for dinner.

MON 07 OCT 2019- Breakfast at the Regency Club. I rested in the afternoon. Dinner with Lori G at Maisy's, whose head chef lives in Lori's neighborhood.

TUE 08 OCT 2019- All three of us, D, M, and I, went on the coach/bus city bus tour. My seatmate was Rita B. This tour was followed by a tour of Fort McHenry. The welcome movie was quite moving---Lori had told me that it is her favorite tourist attraction in Baltimore.

SPOILER ALERT!!
I liked the movie at the Fort McHenry Visitors Center. Most people observing the short film were standing. The movie ended with the poem by Francis Scott Key. As the poem began, the end of the movie began with flags of red and of white projected over the front-row audience members. The movie ended as the poem was sung; that is, the United States' national anthem since 1931 was played. As the heavy curtains behind where the movie was projected were drawn back, the large flag flying at the fort, Fort McHenry, was visible. As the end of the movie played out, I found myself with my hand over my heart and singing the National Anthem.
Quite moving.

Soon after, back at the hotel, the wheels were whirring for a buffet dinner and the class's performance. Here is the program:
