An English Neil Simon
This past Wednesday, I went with my friend Jonathan from choir to see the American premier of Alan Ayckbourn's Role Play. Our friend, Kelly, from choir held tickets for each of us at the City Theater (the O'Reilly)(see future photo of Kelly in the box office). After reminders from me that the entertainment is ON stage, not in the seating, Jonathan and I enjoyed the play. Ayckbourn is an English Neil Simon. The last Neil Simon production I went to was in NYC, called 45 Seconds from Broadway.
This production by Ayckbourn was about a newly-engaged couple who plan to have a nice dinner with their parents--and the fiasco that ensues! I've recommended the play to several people, including to my office mate, Vicky.
