Dinner party at Ornella's

Ornella held a dinner party to celebrate several happy occasions, including her new niece, her new green card, and her friend Teresa's return to Pittsburgh. There were appetizers and tapas--bread, cheeses, roasted and marinated veggies and salmon, fruits (including grapes and pomegranates)--followed by Thai sesame noodle salad, confetti couscous, chicken curry on sticky rice, pineapple and banana, and finally Judi's famous chocolate-cream cheese bars for dessert. The side board held various wines, juices, sparkling juices, and the rooms held warm conversation for all who attended. One conversation went from topics of driving, to traffic accidents, to encounters with policemen around the world. Ornella and I agreed to meet tomorrow after the Cathedral choir concert for a look-see at her paper. We'll have a look over coffee and tea.
