Volunteering IST development day
Two weekends ago I volunteered to help out for the Information Sciences and Technology day (IST Professional Development Day) at one of my alma maters, the School of Information Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh. The morning was filled with three of us reviewing resumes for current students in the department. I remember being on the other side of the table, so I wanted their resumes to be the best they could be. Some of the students participated in mock interviews; some of those same students also participated in telephone interviews. It was a good day for career/professional development.
