Advent Brailletones

Today Joe, Tina, JoAnne, and I headed to Tony's place in Oakland for an Advent/Christmas songfest. Sam and Liz were there, as were Louise and Dylan, Marty, Jonathan, and Don. We sang some lovely Christmas tunes, including "Night of Silence" (concurrently with "Silent Night," which was sang at St. Mary's the last years of Jeanne's tenure as the choir director in Marietta), some old standbys and one written by Katherine Lee Bates starting, "Kings of the East Are Riding." We enjoyed cranberry bread and wassail, too. Don departed for the choirs concert, Jonathan will depart tomorrow for an interview at University College, Dublin. We wished both of them good luck, and sang a happy birthday to Don.
