The Second Sunday in Ordinary TIme--Celebrating the Life of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Today was special--it was a Mass, in commemoration of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., presented by the Race and Reconciliation Dialogue group of Saint Paul Cathedral in collaboration with the Office of Black Catholic Ministries, Diocese of Pittsburgh. The Choir of Saint Paul Cathedral was joined with Saint Charles Lwanga Choir. Our choirs were led by James Avant and accompanied by Don Fellows.

The celebrant was Fr. David H Taylor, co-celebrating with Fr. Donald Breier. In attendance were the Knights of St. Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary 4277 and the middle-school-aged student essay awardees "What Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Means to Me." Linda cantored.

Regina and her family invited me to lunch @ Panera. I had a You Pick Two, selecting the NEW Thai chicken salad and the tuna salad sandwich! How delicious was that.

I napped for part of the afternoon and will join Marissa and William for dinner.
