Oryx and Crake
Just completed reading Oryx and Crake, by Margaret Atwood. Quite the post-apocalyptic dystopia. I'm thankful that I made arrangements for lots of field trips and visits by campus resource offices to our classroom when we discuss this book and, more generally, adjustments to campus life.
In short, the book is a great conversation piece, but NOT merely a coffeetable book.
Reading it was somewhat difficult, as I have had a change to both eyes in my visual prescription, and read the bulk of it sans correction.
