no liquids...
..on airplanes this morning. I awoke in the pre-dawn hour of 5 o'clock to the radio informing of a deflected attempt on British airlines. No liquids of any sort are currently allowed on aircraft, to dissuade any such activity.
Inklings of my emotions during the 11th of September a little less than five years ago returned. I recall writing about the occurrences of the week in an essay that actually was requested on a few books which were required reading at the time. Students' eyes were glued on their computer screens in Hillman library, where many were completing papers, and an inordinate number of them were reading CNN, international news, and other news websites.
