Article Search

After a wonderful afternoon of dining with William, Marissa, Beatrice, Les, Cherie, and Mom & Dad at the BIG Chinese buffet south of the city (puffy pastry and ice cream were important finishes to the meal), Kirsten and I went to the public library armed with suggestions from William for appropriate scientific articles for teacher workshops.

Kirsten and I, being products of the paper library system, chose to physically (rather than electronically) browse a few select journals for articles. Our criteria included: Graphics, chemical structures or sub-atomic structures, a certain level of readability and science literacy. So, browsing electronically with the Carnegie or the University databases would not be practical from a time standpoint. With help from my friend and former fellow librarian, Gwendolyn, we found a handful of articles that would suffice. We made photocopies and were pleased with our harvest.
