Rolling Green Hills
I've been rising earlier and earlier during this past week; today I arose before five AM. For the past two mornings I have been doing oil pastels of rolling green hills....These oil pastel drawings have been warm-up exercises for me (about a dozen or more years ago)---were my warm-up exercises to preparing studies for oil paintings or impromptu/impression abstract oil paintings.
At the time that I started doing these "Rolling Green Hills" my dear friend Sheila saw a handful of them.
"Have you ever been to Ireland?" she asked me.
"No, never," I replied.
"Well, you must go to Ireland. That's what the country looks like," she said, enthused.
So ever since then, I've wanted to go to Ireland...
I'M GOING TODAY!
Needless to say, I've named my last two pastels "Visions of Eire."
