FRI 01 MARCH 2019 to SUN 31 MARCH 2019

FRI 01 MARCH 2019- D had post-surgery appointment today, and though I offered yesterday and today to drive him and M to appointments, they stated that someone was driving them. Today I chilled at home. Stayed out of their way.

SAT 02 MARCH 2019-This afternoon I worked at Tommy Joseph's totem pole this afternoon at the museum (119/2h), with lots of local visitors, and also visitors from WV, and OH, TX, and VA. Afterwards, DR and I went for homemade ice cream (I got Birthday Cake) in South Oakland. Dad and I went to the drug store for post-operation supplies. Nilaga for dinner!

SUN 03 MARCH 2019- Finished my PAperwork for Mary Ann. Mailed it off. Watched 10 AM Mass via television ministry.D and M went to Church @ noon. Listened to Penguins game on the radio, and followed along on an app.

MON 04 MARCH 2019- Visit a friend in Oakland. Took care of bills. Attend SEED meeting for as, in the evening (4).

TUE 05 MARCH 2019- Had lunch in Oakland with Annabelle, a friend from PITT, at a small restaurant in South Oakland. Had a visitor in the afternoon at home. Listened to Penguins game, as on Sunday, and Jake Guentzel, assisted by Sidney Crosby, scored in overtime! Let's go, Pens!

WED 06 MARCH 2019- Dad skipped AM Mass, and we went to Bible study with Fr. Drew Morgan (13), for readings of the 1st Sunday in Lent, Cycle C.  Chatted with a few folks after Bible study, and am chilling for Ash Wednesday. M, D, and I attended the noon Mass for Ash Wednesday. Fr. Kris Stubna celebrated the Mass, Don cantored, Greg H and Deborah D lectored, Fr. Adam and a seminarian and several lay ministers helped with the distribution of ashes. Dad was a Eucharistic minister. Music included: Attende Domine; Parce Domine.

M, D, and I went grocery shopping, then picked up fish sandwiches in the Shadyside/ Friendship neighborhood. Helped out M. Took a little nap.

THU 07 MARCH 2019-Took care of errands this morning. ShqM stopped by. Actually took a quick nap! The choir candy sales are on the tail end now...Almost time for choir practice. Cool practice.

FRI 08 MARCH 2019- Worked with M for agencies for insurance. Met Stacy for hot tea and snack at a creperie. W, (B and S) were over.

SAT 09 MARCH 2019- Girl Scout cookie distribution with B @ M, D Building. Tita Nenette and Tito Ollie stopped by on their way to the PAPAGP meeting to  pick me up. Productive meeting! GS cookies to Tita Tina and Tito Larry. Hi to Hermes.

SUN 10 MARCH 2019- Daylight Savings Time: Spring forward,  fall back! D, M, B, S, and I went to the Oratory for Eucharistic Adoration and Mass. Fr. Joshua Kibler celebrated the Mass.

MON 11 MARCH 2019- Early-to-mid afternoon evaluation appointment for physical therapy. Ppainful. (I'll live.) Went with DR to the previews for 2019-2020 season of Pittsburgh Cultural Trust with Ken Rice. Some members of the Egyptian band from the touring company of The Band's Visit performed for the audience (twice), and were the hit of the evening, as were the Jimmy Buffet beach balls and Hawaiian leis, which each of us received.

TUE 12 MARCH 2019- Updated V's resume and letter. After lunch, D and I delivered two boxes of Girl Scout cookies to Tito L's office. Chatted via Skype with CJ.Dinner, Jeopardy! watching with Mom. Prepare for appointment tomorrow.

WED 13 MARCH 2019- Tax documents prepared. Morning appointment at Scaife. Campus bus was down because of Spring Break. Found my way back chez M, D.

THU 14 MARCH 2019- Observe & train on a dinosaur class (x2). Choir Easter candy funds due at practice.

FRI 15 MARCH 2019- "Beware the Ides of March..." Early AM physical therapy. Shq stopped by in the early afternoon.

SAT 16 MARCH 2019- Went with M, D, to Mass at the PORCNC. Fr. Drew celebrated the Mass.

SUN 17 MARCH 2019- D drove M and me to the Saint Padraig's (Patrick's) Day party chez Tita T and Tito L. Met many great people there, including Eileen and Company. Partook of some craig.

MON 18 MARCH 2019- Spent 10" on the stationary bike this morning. Visited a friend in Oakland today at her office. Organized a drawer today.

TUE 19 MARCH 2019- Went to my physical therapy appointment early this morning. Went to work for our docent meeting, led by Jess and Laurie. Highlight was a study conducted by a firm. SB gave me a ride home, chatted via phone with HH, who is in Pittsburgh for a little bit from Eastern PA.

WED 20 MARCH 2019-  After Bible Study, D dropped me off at UPMC Sports Facility on the South SIde for pain management treatment. Chilled with my leg elevated for the rest of the day/night.

THU 21 MARCH 2019- Relaxed most of the day, because of pain treatment. Went to choir practice.

FRI 22 MARCH 2019- Went for my ophthalmology eye appointment (Tyra/Odden/ Waxman), made a follow-up appointment with the optometrist. Donned my lace-up wrap for the first time since the pain treatments. Physical therapy with Elizabeth. Took a nap this afternoon.

SAT 23 MARCH 2019- Finished culling a box from PITT instructor work. DR and I went to see the movie Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase

(good movie, even for tweens---but I would make certain to discuss with teens certain behaviors of movie characters, and the inappropriateness of them, for society in general).
and I stopped at a store for home supplies. We stopped at McDonald's for refreshments.

Just prepped salad for M, D's guests who are imminent. Also brought provisions (albeit piecemeal).

there were protests Downtown and in East Liberty Friday night, and in Oakland on Saturday. As I used to say to my students for other behavior, "Always behave above the board [so that you are never suspect]." This goes for protests and other [public] behavior.

SUN 24 MARCH 2019- Preparing for Church today.

Third Sunday of Lent. Chatted with Fr. Kris and Fr. Nick before Mass today.  Fr. Mike Darcy of the Oratory celebrated Mass. Kimo and I read the readings (2nd and 1st, respectively), Christina Mc cantored, and E and E (siblings) were the altar servers. Greeted Don before Mass.

M, D, and I enjoyed Chinese food in Bloomfield, went shopping in North Oakland at the drugstore, and returned a library book due Tuesday.

MON 25 MARCH 2019- Went to McKnight Road for office/ phone supplies and NB footwear. Spoke with Nancy C. Also spoke with MK. Took a quick nap. then a very late snack/ lunch.

TUE 26 MARCH 2019- Went for an early physical therapy session. Bones on a certain aspect don't hurt as before.

WED 27 MARCH 2019- I drove D and me to Bible Study. 4th Sunday of Lent, cycle C readings. We ran some errands after, including to Downtown and the South Side (including Aldi for produce). I organized more (3 bureau) drawers. Caught up on electronic texts. Moved more items into the car. Ordered Chinese for dinner. WA, MM, and family will come over for dinner chez Lolo at Lola.

THU 28 MARCH 2019- Shq visited. Had a small dinner before heading to the annual Lector and Extaordinary Eucharistic Minister's meeting. Lots of questions. Kimo explained the Android app for scheduling. Hurried over to choir practice afterwards.

FRI 29 MARCH 2019- Early morning physical therapy. Brunch and lunch afterwards. D broke a tooth. Tita A and Tito J brought D, M, and I to a Healing Ministry: Victory in Spiritual Warfare Presentation/ Workshop by Patrick and Joy Campbell and Family, founders of the Cross of St. Benedict Society at St. Albert the Great RC Church. Tita A drove quite well, and parking was tough because of the fish fry. The presentation was engaging. M and I chatted after at home; I recalled St. John Paul II's encyclical Fides et Ratio.

SAT 30 MARCH 2019- Woke up later today, and moved some files, purged and weeded some files, and weeded and organized Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, St. Paul Cathedral, and Philippine American Performing Arts (PAPAGP) brochures. Got some tofu, yogurt, and spices at neighboring grocery stores. A lovely day--with a high of 68 degrees.

SUN 31 MARCH 2019- Listened to Harmonia and Sunday Baroque again this morning. I attended noon Mass at St. Paul RC Cathedral today. Bishop William Waltershied celebrated the Mass with two of his priestly buddies. Shane cantored, and Ken was at the Beckerath console, with Don and choir providing backup vocals. Deborah D lectored for both readings.

I made Thai- coconut milk- tofu- vegetable curry for a very late lunch. Served it over rice for myself. The vegetables it contained were Japanese eggplant, onion, and 3 mini red-orange-yellow pepper colors. Enjoyed this with grape juice.
