D had an early appointment at Presby. M had tests after that. I had a Zoom meeting with DeMcm in the afternoon, followed by D and I getting supplies for the home at the neighborhood drugstore and dinner of burgers and chili for D, M, and I.
Bible Study Zoomed with Fr Mike. Today's temperatures were from 38 degrees in the morning to 70 degrees Fahrenheit.

Lunchtime physical therapy with RoAp. Test at a different department. Stopped for groceries before heading back.

Bicycled 18 minutes and did 3 loads of laundry. Had a meeting . Picked up dinner for M, D, and me-- gyros!
2nd webinar on Holy Week with Erica Gamerro and Brian Gurley was held, about the liturgy and music of Holy Thursday. I had questions and a discussion about the impact of each part of the Triduum on the Liturgy of the Eucharist...especially Holy/ Maundy Thursday (Mandatum at the Last Supper), Good Friday (the Crucifixion), and Easter (the Resurrection).

Physical therapy at lunchtime, and an appointment with a friend in Oakland. Bible Study was cancelled today. Bible study cancelled.

Zoom yoga (5+SCM) this morning. Worked on-site at the museum on the 3rd floor and at the first floor gallery in the afternoon, then did union tasks and picked up a library book afterwards. Ma helped with union stuff. Moved my clocks today, in preparation of Daylight Savings Time tomorrow at 0200.

Two telehealth visits. Mine with Andrew David K, who is helping to get new Durable Medical Equipment. and M's, with Liudan.
TUE 14 MAR 2023- Pi Day!!
Museum All-Staff Meeting. Pat McS had kudos read for his work. 15 mins of coffee break with 4 other colleagues, which is always enjoyable and enlightening.
Prepared package to mail (for D) with M. Posted the package. Dropped off chip for data reading in Oakland---got it back. Meeting with B, C, and D this afternoon. Transfers from Gr and Mod today.
Webinar led by Erica and Brian for Holy Thursday. Liturgy and Music. I asked detailed questions about actions during each Liturgy of the Word AND Liturgy of the Eucharist---Most of the actions harkened back to Holy Thursday, and not to Good Friday and Easter Sunday. That is, except for some of the prayers (Memorial Acclamation). I found it notable (correct me if I am wrong).
Attempt to repair D's computer. Helpdesk did not answer this evening.

Bike ~ 15 minutes this morning. Got through to Helpdesk late this AM. Left ~12.45 to go to appointment. Rob A added some new exercises, including one from Fencing (as a First Year student)!
Bible Study was cancelled this afternoon.

Chill with k and K in the morning. A very late lunch with them and D and M at Senyai Thai restaurant in Shadyside, family style. We had ordered appetizers of Thai summer fresh rolls, vegetable tempura, and entrees of Ped Krob (a Crispy Duck dish with red coconut milk curry and basil vegetables), Pad Pong Karee (a yellow coconut milk seafood dish), Hung Lay (a pork belly in sweet sauce dish), Ba-Mee Ped (roasted duck with thin egg noodle and Chinese broccoli) and vegetarian See Ew (wide fan noodles). Dessert was Custard on Sticky Rice.
Rehearsal for the 4th Sunday of Lent went well. Partway through we split into sectionals (lower voices in the loft). Walked with L after.

Late this morning, ordered a clothing item online.
JH parked at my place and we took the bus to Heinz Hall. Greeted and chatted with Fr Steven Palsa on the bus and afterwards. JH and I went to enjoy the Jackie O dessert nearby, before the concert.
We had tickets in the Gallery Center, and enjoyed the concert In Words & Music: Honeck Conducts Mozart's Requiem at its opening night performance.
The pieces performed were:

The Requiem: Mozart's Death in Words and Music-piece was composed of a melange of various pieces: Gregorian chants (including "Christus Factus Est"), shorter pieces by Mozart, readings (from a letter from WA Mozart to his father on 04 APR 1787), to poetry (by Nelly Sachs), to selections from the Book of Revelations), to shorter pieces of WA Mozart (including "Laudate Dominum K. 339"). to Mozart's unfinished Requiem Mass, K. 626, and ending the evening with "Ave Verum Corpus, K. 618".

JH and I recognized various pieces which we had sung in choir, and especially the old chestnut "Ave Verum Corpus," K. 618. The totality of Heinz Hall sat rapt and wrapped in silence as the final chords of the orchestra and choir dissipated to the rafters. As the audience, we were enveloped in the silent sacredness at the conclusion of it all, and the applause only commenced when the lights came up onstage. Exceedingly, beautifully moving. Sacred.

Morning Zoom yoga led by SCN. CV was present, as were two overseas regulars, Pittsburgh regulars, and a S regular.
Had leftovers of Thai food from THU for brunch/lunch. Nice long nap. Caught up on blogging and received a phone call from MVK this afternoon.

Fourth Sunday of Lent. Lectored at 10.00 Mass; chorister at noon Mass.
At the 10.00 Mass Bishop Zubik celebrated, and Deacon Tom Berna assisted. Everyone processed in from the Sacristy. Nathan S was the sacristan; Erica Gamerro, James, the young short kid, and a brand new acolyte were servers. Catherine cantored and Ken was at the Beckerath console.

Two days later I spent the good part of the morning setting up the service.

All-morning NHI meeting, with Pat McShea presenting. Gave Vicki her button; stopped after work at the library to pick up a book. Before the NHI meeting, I spoke with the DME company, not much help.

Bicycled 35 minutes in the morning. No DME yet. D went to an annual appointment with M this morning. I bought DME at the drugstore in South Oakland today.

Called cell phone companies, called savings company. Ironed out problems for M and D.
Went grocery shopping with M in the Strip District at the Pan-Asian mart and the fishmongers. Chatted with SW, K signed us up for a card. Next went grocery shopping in Bloomfield.
Rehearsal was scheduled to be in church, but after fording the river called 5th and Craig, I personally spent the rest of rehearsal drying off my shoes and feet.

R and D ensured I got all my exercises done well.

Yoga this morning led by SCN. There were 5-6 additional attendees. Saw H's garden. CV, SCN, and I discussed work stuff after the class. M made delicious nilaga!

Attended a webinar from work about recent collaborative paleontological research in Patagonia. The Carnegie Museum of Natural History contingent was led by Matt Lamanna.

Got a ride share by a fellow category judge to the Pittsburgh Regional Science and Engineering Fair. Great day, great projects! Roy was a great co-chair; DL stopped for a very short errand on the way back after the PRSEF.

A quickly-run rehearsal for Holy Week.
A former POTUS was indicted on criminal charges. A grand destabilizing force against democracy and against our country, indicted. A divisive vector, indicted. I feel sorry for his latest/current wife and his youngest child.

D and R made certain that my exercises were done well. Of course, Jeopardy was watched by us, including the 29 MAR 2023 episode, which had the champion whom M and I agreed was OA.
