MON 10 JUNE 2019- Worked at home in the morning, joined D, M, and WA chez D et M for a lunch of
mussels in their own broth on rice

salmon and flounder on rice
desserts, including mango
WA and I purchased the big lottery tickets for us and D on Craig Street, and whole yogurt. Ran into Gladys and other neighbors on the way.
After Jeopardy! D and I went to Shadyside/ Friendship to purchase fruit.
TUE 11 JUNE 2019- Worked in the morning chez D et M sur mon ordinateur.
Celebrated Solomon's Promotion Day with WA and MM's family (11 JUNE is their great grandmother's day), D, M, and LM. I had the pulled pork with onion ring sandwich (teeny potato tots on the side), and had tastes of the chicken meatball pizza (the special).
Went with D and M to hear Mr. Sander sing as Elvis. They got up and danced several times, including a cha cha.Went to the Strip District to grocery shop. Time to prepare (more) for dinner. Had multicolor peppers steak for dinner with rice.
WED 12 JUNE 2019-Read the 2nd Reading for Bible Study. Marilyn left early, and so did I to meet with Tnsha and Shy'n. Rode the bus to Kaufmann Building and to Presby for medical errands. Spoke to Ithann and MK this evening.
THU 13 JUNE 2019-Caught up on correspondence and made appointments. Entered posts with photos for M's Fbook. Will go to a talk by Jose-Alain Sahel tonight.
Lecture: The Art of Sight with Dr. José-Alain Sahel – Carnegie Museum of Art
Dr. Sahel spoke about changes in eyesight, and used famous artists and their conditions to provide examples. He also fielded questions, and I asked one regarding the process of sight and where various biologic somatic tissues play a role. Great talk!

FRI 14 JUNE 2019- Sally, a neighbor, passed away yesterday. May the angels accompany her to God.
DR and I walked to sushi burrito and poke bowl and chicken tempura for dinner. Her move is rough/ tough/ but continuing.
SAT 15 JUNE 2019- Worked at the museum by the T. rexes this afternoon. (88: 2 hr). Told visitors about membership. Visitors who engaged in in-depth Q and A were: local, and were from Harrisburg, OH, LA, NC, SC, Seoul, and China. 03 Touichables were utilized, thanks to suggestions/ input from Anita L.
D drove me to and from work.
SUN 16 JUNE 2019- Father's Day! Did back exercises. Chatted on phone with a friend. Lunch with M and D, WA, MM, LM, and children. We enjoyed the buffet at an Indian restaurant. M and D and I went for the 16.00 Mass celebrated by Fr. Mike Darcy. I watched some YouTube minimalism videos for inspiration, then weeded the bottom drawer of my file cabinet of excess old work files ~20h to 22.10h.
MON 17 JUNE 2019- Appointment early this morning. Spent 20h to 22 hr weeding out a plastic file box.
TUE 18 JUNE 2019- Removed more of my papers from D and M's library. Made 4.5 times the recipe for vegan yellow curry with tofu, immediately refrigerated it.
WED 19 JUNE 2019- Bible Study, facilitated by Fr. Mike Darcy (12), with the readings for Corpus Christi Sunday. Tnsh stopped by. Transferred the coconut curry to the freezer.
THU 20 JUNE 2019- Renewed library books. Attended a UPMC event with D and M; I drove to the Hill District community center. There were vendors with tables and information, a caricaturist (Jeff H), and an impersonator of Nat King Cole. We had a blast!
WA stopped by at 15.00 and we chatted until we had a dinner of vegetarian fare. D went to Knights of Columbus.
FRI 21 JUNE 2019- D and I attended the midmorning funeral of a neighbor, S Davoren. Fr. Kris Stubna celebrated the Mass, with Tom Bainbridge serving. Christina McCann cantored, Don provided music ministry on the Beckerath from the loft. Sally D (a cousin), and Noreen D sat behind us during the Mass. Beautiful eulogy by Fr. Kris. Spoke with Sally D afterwards.
M and I went shopping in Bloomfield, for Mexican food in Aspinwall, and then went department store shopping (travel accessories), then to WalMart. Warm, not too humid, and sunny day.
Helped M obtain a gift certificate for JO and G's anniversary.
SAT 22 JUNE 2019- Made spaghetti with M. D, M, and I enjoyed spaghetti for lunch! Posted some Facebook news for M, with the photos I took on THU, right before the Summer Solstice on Friday. Took care of some computer and correspondence. Chatted with MK about her plans.
SUN 23 JUNE 2019- Corpus Christi Sunday. Got pizza, and ran into Julie R and Chuck and Judy while shopping at Friendship/ Shadyside. Also attended the 16.00 Mass which Fr Mike Darcy celebrated (after Eucharistic adoration, of course).
MON 24 JUNE 2019- Spent the morning clearing out and vacuuming the top bedside drawer. Spaghetti was enjoyed for lunch. Helped D and M out with airline rewards questions.
TUE 25 JUNE 2019- Paid bills (nearing month's end), afternoon appointments for D and M (new glasses, and new gadgets) uptown, lunch of burgers and fries, afternoon appointment (with D present) in Shadyside with the ankle surgeon. New lace-up brace. Etc. Watched more of the Jeopardy! Teen Tournament tonight.
WED 26 JUNE 2019- Drove D and I to Bible study facilitated by Fr Mike Darcy (+12). Uniting theme of the 3 readings was free will/ freedom of choice of those being called/ invited to follow a spiritual path.
THU 27 JUNE 2019- Appointment right before lunch in S Oakland.
M and I donated bunches of items, including dolls made by Teri S.
Chatted with Stacy chez nos parents right before a Democratic Presidential debate.
FRI 28 JUNE 2019- Need to find out about disposal of electronic items. SN and I went to work at the PotterFest for all ages at the museum tonight. We waited until about 21:20, guarding the specimens at the last stop/ platform 9 3/4. The items at the last stop included:

SAT 29 JUNE 2019- M and I watched the televised Mass of Ordination (X4) with Bishop David A Zubik at Saint Paul Cathedral. Afterwards, I took photos of D in front of the Cathedral in full Knights of Columbus regalia. We three had lunch with fried chicken, and then D and I ran an errand Downtown.
DR and I went to see The Secret Life of Pets 2 tonight. Lots of laughs!

SUN 30 JUNE 2019- D, M, and I participated in the 16.00 afternoon Mass at the Oratory, after Eucharistic Adoration. Fr Joshua Kibler celebrated the mass, with one of the Oratorian brothers assisting.

SAT 01 JUNE 2019- D and I went to Downtown to run an errand, and also to say a fond farewell to Arthur, as we handed off homemade banana bread. We chatted for a little bit in the hotel lobby, until it was almost time for his ride to go.
Will work on a project at the library after lunch. (I did.)
SUN 02 JUNE 2019- Lector (1) at Cathedral today's noon Mass with Deborah (2). Tom Berna was our deacon today. Fr Kris Stubna celebrated the Mass, with Ted W and Luca as servers. Dad was one of the Eucharistic Ministers. Shane cantored and Don with the choir and Ken provided additional music ministry from the loft.

I haven't processed at the beginning nor end of the Mass since October, as usual.
D and M told me where to meet them after Mass in person in the front row. I quickly moved away from them( because D's "friend" showed up) towards MA Hvizdos and the teachers group to fill out the survey and to meet up with Fr. Kris.
D and M and I went to Costco, and further grocery shopping in Homestead and in Bloomfield. My ankle was bothering me, so I sat out all but the Costco shopping. Dave S. saw us at COstco; I said hello to Freddie VG at Costco.
MON 03 JUNE 2019- Major Hair styling today. Rested up from last night's shopping events and took Tylenol/ acetaminophen to recuperate during this afternoon. Have a couple of appointments (including physical therapy), then, though. After some computer correspondence with M---D, M, and I sat down to watch Jeopardy! James Holzhauer was thanked by Alex Trebek for a get well card from JH's daughter, Natasha. James uncharacteristically bet a low amount in Final Jeopardy, and conceded the champion spot to another contestant. I surmised that he must be missing his wife (whom he mentioned being in the audience perhaps once during his appearances as a contestant on the show) and daughter, and, as a professional sports gambler, was doing as in the Kenny Rogers Country Western song, "The Gambler":

TUE 04 JUNE 2019- Paid bills, etc. Received an Amazon package. Chatted with MAHv this evening.
WED 05 JUNE 2019- D and I went to Bible Study, Fr Mike Darcy facilitiated discussion, with Fr. Peter Gruber plus10. I proclaimed the 2nd reading for Pentecost for our benefit (see link below)

Right before the noon Mass, M and I joined a very short line to venerate the incorruptible heart of St John Vianney at the altar of St Paul Cathedral. There was an usher and also there were Knights of Columbus facilitating the process. I handed off my cell phone to a very kind young woman to take our photos. M and I were the first styling clients of L at Supercuts this afternoon after lunch. We went to grocery and drugstore shopping in Friendship/ Shadyside, as well as in North Oakland and grocery shopping in Bloomfield. After putting away groceries D, M, and I had dinner and watched Emma win Jeopardy! once more.
THU 06 JUNE 2019-Ang J stopped by, I gave her the older of my 2 vacuum cleaners. Worked on sorting ketchup packets. Stopped by L's after I was not fully pleased with the turnout from yesterday. Acted as secretary as Mom translated phrases into Tagalog/ Pilipino for the dedication/ Opening of the Philippine Nationality Room at the Univesity of Pittsburgh. Chillin' now.
FRI 07 JUNE 2019- Early this morning I did the early physical therapy appointment with Trevor, who assessed me after my exercises for ankle. He gave me the LIST of exercises for ankle. I stopped by D and M before my appointment for teeth cleaning with Sherry at the dentist's office.
SAT 08 JUNE 2019- The big worry today was to renew library books. M and I attended the 16.00 Mass at the Pittsburgh Oratory. Fr Joshua Kibler celebrated the Mass.
