At 15.30 I attended a concert in the Saint Paul Cathedral 2019 Organ Concert Series performed by James Burns of the Westminster Presbyterian Church of Upper St. Clair. It was delightful, with diverse pieces.
The annual building picnic was today. Sat near Jackie W, Gloria & Steve L on one side and Janet A from my floor on the other side. THU 08 AUG 2019- Drove out to M, OH, stopping at Wendy's for lunch en route. Dropped off bags at TS's home, and had a quick snack before heading out to Mrs.B's. Her daughter Lisa was canning, and Mrs. B and I chatted for a while. She lives near the end of my former bike route from high school and college. Mrs B called Mrs E, and we also reminisced. Mrs. B, Lisa, and I went to Da Vinci's for dinner, where I had a spinach with bacon and hot dressing salad (just like from Mrs. B's order), tried Lisa's Mona Lisa pasta, and we all shared the toasted coconut/ salted caramel/ ice cream and cream cheesecake pie. Headed back to TS's afterwards.

Next, to D, a large suburb, and to J deJ's home where two tables of mah jongg were busy! Lots of food, fun, and fellowship, including lechon. SAT 10 AUG 2019- Ate in the late morning at Cracker Barrel at MW, WV ("You know you're in these parts when the MW sign needs pruning around it"--G), before the 13.00 wedding at St. Mary of the Assumption Basilica. Drove by the old homestead and noted changes in it before going to the wedding.
M and I headed to an adventure to get to the rest room before the Mass commenced. There were the traditional Filipino elements of the arras, the veil, and the cord. The Mass was presided over by two Pinoy Catholic priests, one of whom I spoke to at dinner Friday. Music was provided by a cantor and by John O.
After the Mass, whilst professional photos were taken, I took a set of photos of M and D next to the Station of the Cross: Jesus Falls a Third Time, which they had donated to the Basilica when it was still a Church. D and I had separate photos of us in front of the Marian Mother of Perpetual Help altar. Met a couple from Annapolis, MD. She had gone to St. Mary's High School when it still existed. John O, J O's childhood classmate, recognized M, and I took a photo of them. Then it was time to head to the reception in V, WV.
I got a blouse and an organizer before the reception, as we were not to enter before 16.00. The buffet was delicious and included lechon and pork belly, and sweet rolls with honey butter. I sat next to D, M, and Annabelle and Marjorie on my other side. As usual, dancing played a large role in the reception, which included line dances and a slow dance request from M (Besame Mucho) that blew the fuses in the whole building! I drove us back to TS's early, leaving at ~22.00
SUN 11 AUG 2019- A gentle breakfast of biscuits and homemade canned jams, ham, yogurt, and fresh fruit. Photo opportunities abounded this morning. We laughed heartily, as Ismo has an outsider's view of our culture and our language---and a knack for making Yoda sounds during his delivery. He spent the good portion of his delivery on the English word s**t, that is, excrement.

Sp?
Henne henne hake, keepis oodelay
